Oy vey! Another boring date? No thanks. There are plenty of options for Jewish singles and it's not just all about dinner and a movie.
For example you could visit your local botanical garden. Enjoy smelling the flowers, strolling through the perfectly manicured lawns, and take in the fountains and ponds. Some gardens even have a Japanese section complete with Koi fish. You can make the whole experience a little more intellectual by learning about the flowers' scientific names. If there's an outdoor cafe, grab a cup of tea and enjoy the scenery.
As an alternative to wine tastings, try visiting a brewery. Microbrews and craft beers are all the rage now. Break out from your standard fare with a pumpkin ale or chocolate stout. Beer may not be considered traditionally romantic, but that's nothing you can change with a little hand holding and a few googly-eyed exchanges.
Comedy clubs are great because laughing together will do nothing if not put the two of you in a good mood. Just be prepared to possibly be the butt of a joke or two. Keep your cool and your date will think you're easy going and fun.
Lastly, you could check out a sultry jazz club. Sip martinis and lose yourself in the sweet sounds of trumpets and saxophones. It will give you guys a chance to dress up and feel extra sophisticated. Plus there's nothing like a little candlelight and smooth sounds to get you in the mood.
No matter what you do you and your honey do, as long as you're enjoying each other's company and learning new things you're opening yourself up to a rich future together. |
